VISUAL DESIGNER & ART DIRECTOR

Simoul has been earning acclaim even before graduating from design school. She won a ‘Medallion For Excellence’ in design while representing India at the 44th WorldSkills championships, and is the first person outside of the USA to receive the One Club’s Patrick Kelly Scholarship.

Her varied portfolio spans packaging and editorial, as well as illustration and type. Simoul’s art direction also draws on her Indian roots when needed, such as when designing visuals for Diwali-themed YouTube playlists. But it is rarely a constant, reflecting her fluid approach to craft.

Most recently Simoul has been gaining attention for her glossy, colourful experiments with 3D and computer generated design. So far it has led to her first 3D editorial commission with the New York Times and recognition by Forbes 30 Under 30. She hopes it will also open up future opportunities to influence how technology works, as well as how it looks.
