PRIYA KHANCHANDANI
CURATOR, DESIGN MUSEUM
Priya’s career has been anything but linear. She has studied modern languages, worked at the V&A and the British Council, and even spent five years as a lawyer before switching into the design industry.
Having a knowledge of design has also led Priya down several other paths. She’s written about visual culture for various newspapers, spoken on panels, and been appointed the first female editor of Icon magazine. She has also curated several exhibitions, including Amy: Beyond the Stage –which looks at the range of influences in Amy Winehouse’s distinctive style and music.
Priya’s work continues to challenge popular boundaries within design circles. She is also a co-founder of the collective Museum Detox, which advocates for diversity in the arts.
