Goldtooth has been producing and DJing for more than a decade. In that time he has built up an impressive vinyl archive and taken to the decks for various underground and commercial radio shows. He is currently a resident DJ for the BBC Asian Network.

By day, Goldtooth is a dentist from South London – but spends his free time curating his favourite tracks into sets for his loyal following. His signature sound combines underground club tracks with Tamil samples that reflect his Tamil heritage and Carnatic musical training. Goldtooth’s past BBC Asian Residency sets have also focused on genres like drill and drum and bass, with an emphasis on South Asian sounds from across the diaspora. More recently, he has launched Goldtooth’s Grime Goldmine: a monthly 15 minute mini-mix of classics taken from his extensive grime vinyl collection. Outside of his own music, Goldtooth advocates for Tamil musical talent, and is a long-time supporter of Asian underground collective Daytimers. He will be playing a set to conclude Daytimers’ first South Asian poetry and spoken word showcase, Mehfil, in 2022.
