Rachel is a Mumbai local who writes about food in Brooklyn. Her by-line has appeared in publications including The Kitchn, Basically, Food52, The Feed and Today Food. She now presents videos and edits content for Bon Appetit magazine.

Rachel’s interest in food led her to leave her hometown and study at the Culinary Institute of America, after which she initially worked as a chef in New York. Her next career jump was into food media, where she was able to bring in her earlier training in broadcast and journalism. That’s where Rachel has remained ever since: bringing her love of food to audiences through words, food photography and video. She is also known for developing recipes that draw on her Indian roots, and has also run online cooking classes for charity.
