NABHAAN RIZWAN

ACTOR

Nabhaan is the youngest in a family of creatives: his dad moonlighted as a playwright, his mum is an actor, and his brother is YouTube comedian Mawaan Rizwan. He initially rebelled by playing cricket – until a casual turn in his friends’ acting showcase landed him a role in BAFTA-nominated BBC drama Informer.

Nabhaan’s lack of formal acting experience is now seen as one of his strengths. After Informer, he was chosen to play a wide-eyed sepoy in Sam Mendes’ Golden Globe-winning 1917.  Notable parts in Riz Ahmed’s Mogul Mowgli and Lena Dunham’s BBC production Industry followed soon after. Off-screen, Nabhaan is also a rapper going by the alias El Huxley. His debut LP has recently released under his own label MASSOLIT, with Nabhaan producing, writing and arranging each track himself. His rising star has since been hitched to brands like LOEWE and Dior, as well as Dunhill during Paris Fashion Week. Nabhaan is now set to appear in Jojo Moyes’ adaptation The Last Letter From Your Lover and make his West End debut in Anna X. He has also been showing off his rap skills as Frank Chaudhary in post-apocalyptic HBO series Station Eleven. At some point he would like to indulge in his love of fashion by studying at Central Saint Martins.
