Amika launched Free Periods, a non-profit aimed at ending period poverty, aged just 17. The UK Government has since committed to funding free period products in English schools. Amika was named one of the most influential teenagers in the world by TIME Magazine, and was awarded an MBE for her activism. She is also the author of ‘Make It Happen’: a guide for other budding activists and changemakers.
