MOHAMMAD QAZALBASH

Head of Publicity, Live Nation

Mohammad has worked his way up to his current role after starting out as a communications intern at Sony Music. He partly puts his early interest in PR and music down to reading supplements while helping out in his uncle’s newsagent. This led him to study Public Relations at university: an untraditional choice that his parents initially mistook for a degree in customer service.

Mohammad’s varied experience has seen him lead publicity and comms for TV, music, entertainment and live events. He now looks after PR for Live Nation concerts, festivals and events, heads up his own team of publicists, and develops and nurtures various artists while helping produce their shows. Mohammad is open about the fast pace and demanding nature of working in PR and, and also the conflict he has personally had as a Muslim in the industry. In the same breath, he also speaks highly of the many unique experiences that he has been able to be part of thanks to his unconventional career path.
