Jeya’s dance academy JRDA is the first to primarily focus on south Indian music and dance. His practice is rooted in gaana, a style of Tamil music from Chennai – which he taught himself the basics of at an early age.

Jeya has appeared on national TV show Got To Dance, along with his dance troupe Gaana Rajas. He has also taken part in various dance shows across the UK, and held Tamil dance and culture workshops in Europe, Canada, Australia and the USA. He now runs regular dance classes across London, in which he combines south Indian dance styles with others including bhangra, street and hip hop. JRDA classes are also known for their accessibility, with Jeya’svideo of himself dancing alongside a mother-to-be racking up over 100k views on Instagram.
