Mon and his partner Esh set up The Chai Stand to bring the taste of real chai to Deal, Kent. They’ve re-imagined the traditional chaiwallah experience to create an authentic chai syrup, adapted from Mon’s family recipe and bottled for the ultimate convenience.

To keep it modern and allow more tea-lovers to get in on the experience, the syrup is also 100% vegan and made with all-natural ingredients. Since launching, Mon and Esh have also expanded the Chai Stand offering to include chai-infused cookie dough and chai punch. Mon still hand-makes each batch in small amounts, and the pair even hand-deliver orders if they are nearby enough. Both are also regulars at the Deal Saturday market, where they personally serve up steaming chai to local tea-lovers.
